A Vietnamese teacher in Tuyen Quang Province, northern Vietnam fainted in the classroom after a group of seventh graders locked the room, cornered her, cursed at her, and threw a sandal at her head, a local official confirmed on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Van Phu Middle School in Son Duong District, Giang Tuan Anh, chairman of the district administration, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.
Authorities are working and will release a report on the incident on Wednesday, Anh added.
The teacher had received prior warnings from the school management due to allegations of using inappropriate language in the classroom on multiple occasions, as stated by a leader from Van Phu Commune within the district.
Earlier, a video surfaced on social media of a female teacher being subjected to physical bullying by a group of seventh-grade students following her music class.
As the teacher was leaving the classroom, these students immediately locked the door to prevent her from venturing out.
This group of students persistently pushed her into a corner of the classroom, cheering and uttering offensive remarks toward their teacher.
A particular schoolboy repeatedly shoved the teacher, using his shoulder, and issued threats before deliberately lying on the floor, apparently with the intention of falsely accusing her of assaulting him.
