Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds uprooted many trees across Hanoi on Saturday night.
Some districts, such as Ung Hoa, Chuong My, and My Duc, experienced hail the same day, according to the Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration.
Hail hit Ung Hoa District at about 9:15 pm on Saturday with hailstones as big as thumbs.
In Chuong My and My Duc District, hail lasted for 10-20 minutes.
Thu, a resident in My Duc District, reported that rain accompanied by hail fell around 9:00 pm, with the hail lasting for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, heavy rain plus strong winds caused a large dracontomelon branch to fall, blocking Quan Su Street in Hoan Kiem District. Fortunately, it did not hit any passer-by.
Also on Quan Su Street, another dracontomelon tree collapsed, crushing an Audi car.
Trang Thi Street was blocked by an uprooted ficus microcarpa tree.
On Nha Tho and Nha Chung Streets in Hoan Kiem District, falling trees crushed many motorbikes parked along the streets.
Heavy rain also flooded the Vinh Tuy Bridge in the capital city.
