-- Since the start of this year, natural disasters have led to 104 fatalities and missing persons, primarily due to landslides and floods, with damage estimated at VND2 trillion (US$79.3 million).
-- Son La Province in northern Vietnam is currently developing a plan to submit to the prime minister and ministries for the construction of flood drainage tunnels aimed at preventing flooding in Son La City.
