Nearly 200 people joined a charity walk along a beach in Nha Trang, a popular city in Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam, on Sunday to raise funds for poor children and victims of human trafficking.
Such hotels as Novotel Nha Trang, Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh, Ibis Styles Nha Trang, and Handwritten Ibis Phu Yen launched the Dragon Walk For Change 2024 on Sunday morning, with the participation of their employees, tourists, and locals.
The walk was aimed at not only supporting people in need but also inspiring the community to engage in charity work.
Participants walked or ran for a distance of five kilometers or 10 kilometers.

Apart from being a sporting event, the walk highlighted efforts to help underprivileged children and labor trafficking victims in Vietnam, said Nguyen Thi Thuy Phuong, general manager at Novotel Nha Trang and representative of the organizing board.
The walk helped raise a fund of some VND62 million (US$2,520), which will be sent to charity organizations to benefit poor children and human trafficking victims, according to the organizers.
Joining the walk, Van Phu Khanh said that the meaningful fundraising event should be expanded to attract more participants.
"I am extremely delighted to join the walk with locals and tourists to contribute positively to the community," Khanh said.
