A wartime bomb measuring 1.5 meters long and weighing approximately 250 kilograms was discovered in Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province, northern Vietnam.

The bomb, with a diameter of 40 centimeters, was found by workers at Viet Tri Port near a section of the Lo River on Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday, the People’s Committee of Viet Tri announced that the city’s military command, in collaboration with relevant agencies, had relocated the bomb toward the river, installed warning signs, and deployed personnel to secure the area, ensuring the safety of local residents.

Authorities plan to move the unexploded bomb to a designated disposal site on Friday.
