The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the investor of the Long Thanh International Airport project in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam, said on Thursday that it expects work on the airport’s passenger terminal to be completed by August 2026.

In particular, the implementation of package 5.10 worth VND35 trillion (US$1.4 billion) which involves the design, construction, and installation of equipment in the passenger terminal is currently on schedule, the ACV claimed.

Work on the package commenced on August 31 last year.

Reinforced concrete columns and beams on the first, second, and third floors of the passenger terminal, as well as a beam on the fourth floor, have been completed.

Electronic medical electronic equipment, electronic devices for terminal operations, hold baggage screening systems, and glass curtain walls are in the process of being procured and produced.

Construction work on the terminal is expected to finish before December 2025, while the façade will be completed by March 2026 and equipment will be installed in early 2026.

After a year of construction, reinforced concrete columns and beams on the first, second and third floor of the passenger terminal, as well as the beam on the fourth floor, have been completed.

Contractors for these packages are expected to be selected next month so that the packages can be completed by August 31, 2026.
