Thousands of police officers showcased their strength, martial arts expertise, and skills, including firing from a suitcase, at the opening ceremony for this year’s ‘Health for National Security’ campaign and a public security commands and martial arts competition that kicked off in central Thua Thien-Hue Province on Saturday.
The Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the administration in Thua Thien-Hue Province to launch the campaign and the competition in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese People's Public Security forces (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the Day of All People Safeguarding National Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).
The campaign and the competition are schduled to last until Thursday.
This year's competition brings together more than 4,000 officers from 20 police units in the central and Central Highlands regions and divisions under the Ministry of Public Security.
