Ho Chi Minh City has launched the design of a project to revamp Thai Van Lung Street, also known as Japan Town, in District 1 to give it a modern and safe look.
Aside from easing traffic congestion and improving sidewalks, the project also aims to highlight Japanese culture and the style of restaurants on Thai Van Lung Street to attract more visitors.
The street, famous for its Japanese hospitality and restaurants, is frequently congested due to motorbike parking that obstructs pedestrian flow.
As a result, the street will be reorganized, with upgrades to the lighting system and sidewalks, creating a safer and more comfortable environment for pedestrians.
