Vietnam is set to host its first-ever AI-Semiconductor Conference (AISC 2025), an international event focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor technology, in Hanoi and Da Nang from March 12 to 16.
The conference, scheduled from March 12 to 14 in Hanoi and March 15 to 16 in Da Nang, is expected to bring together more than 1,000 leading technology experts and industry leaders from around the world.
Organized by Vietnam’s National Innovation Center in collaboration with Aitomatic, a U.S.-based company specializing in AI applications for industry, the conference will be themed “Innovating Futures: Bridging AI & Semiconductors Globally.”
The annual event is expected to attract executives and experts from major global technology corporations, including Google DeepMind, IBM, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, and Marvell, as well as leading firms from Silicon Valley, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, India, and China.
The five-day event will feature technical workshops, technology exhibitions, high-level policy forums, and executive seminars for 100 top technology leaders.
Discussions will focus on AI applications in chip design and semiconductor manufacturing, as well as the potential of advanced semiconductor architectures.
Participants at the conference will have opportunities to connect with global experts, elevate their professional profile, and gain insights into cutting-edge research, according to the organizers.
Prominent speakers at AISC 2025 will include Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google; Dr. Christopher Nguyen, CEO and co-founder of Aitomatic; Dr. Le Viet Quoc, an AI and deep learning scientist at Google DeepMind; Dr. Azalia Mirhoseini, an assistant professor of computer science at Stanford University, Dr. Anna Goldie, co-developer of AlphaChip, Nguyen Bich Yen, a senior fellow at Soitec; and Dr. Loi Nguyen, executive vice president of Marvell, among others.
These speakers will also discuss Vietnam’s opportunities in the global semiconductor supply chain, reflecting the country's growing role in high-tech industries.
One of the highlights of AISC 2025 will be the launch of an open-source semiconductor platform in Vietnam, marking a significant step in the country’s integration into the global AI and semiconductor ecosystem.
The event also signifies Vietnamese technology firms joining international AI and semiconductor alliances, reinforcing the country’s commitment to becoming a key player in the industry.
With the global semiconductor market projected to reach $500 billion by the end of 2024, AI continues to drive economic growth and attract major investments. The integration of AI in semiconductor design and manufacturing is expected to reshape the industry.
To stay competitive in this booming sector, Vietnam is implementing policies to attract investment and develop a skilled workforce. These initiatives include scholarships, tuition waivers, and subsidies for semiconductor manufacturing training.
