The Vietnam women’s football team is set to compete in a friendly tournament in China following their training trip to the Czech Republic, according to Duong Nghiep Khoi, general secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
They will face the Chinese hosts, Japan, and South Korea in the friendly tournament.
Vietnam are currently ranked 37th in the world, while China are 18th, Japan seventh, and South Korea 19th, according to the FIFA Women’s World Ranking.
On Friday, the Vietnamese women’s team completed their final training session at the Vietnam Youth Football Center in Hanoi.

The team will depart for the Czech Republic at 3:30 am on Sunday for a two-week training camp.
They are scheduled to play three friendly matches: against Germany’s Red Bull Leipzig on September 4, Czech’s FK Pardubice on September 8, and Czech’s Viktoria Plzen on September 11.
To support the team, Tran Quoc Tuan, chairman of the VFF, met with the players and presented them with gifts before their departure.

Tuan also noted that the VFF is coordinating with European countries to arrange future training trips and support preparations for 2025.
The Vietnamese women’s team is currently focused on developing new talents with the goal of winning the Southeast Asian Games for the fifth consecutive time at the 2025 tournament in Thailand.
