Many streets in ‘Christian neighborhoods’ in Ho Chi Minh City have become busy in recent days as people pack these areas for Christmas celebration.

With Christmas falling midweek this year, people have enjoyed the festive spirit since last weekend.

By nightfall on Monday, Pham The Hien Street in District 8 was awash with Christmas lights and decorations.

People took to Binh Thai and Binh An parishes on this street, where Nativity scenes are on display, equipped with water sprinkle systems and rotating Christmas trees, for photo opportunities.

Likewise, Thong Nhat, Pham Van Chieu, and Quang Trung Streets in Go Vap District have also been adorned with Christmas lights, caves, and trees, attracting many visitors from across the southern metropolis.

“I feel that this year’s Christmas atmosphere is more bustling, Ngo Phuc Nguyen, a resident in Go Vap District, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.

"After work, I manage to take my wife and children for a sightseeing tour around the streets.”
