The 2023 All Vietnam Koi Show held in Ho Chi Minh City showcased around 600 koi fish from renowned domestic and international koi farms, lakes, and clubs over the weekend.
The sixth show was aimed at creating a playground for those breeding and loving koi fish across Vietnam, according to the organizer.
The event attracted a high number of participants, including students.
They are from many parts of the country, such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Hanoi, Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and other Mekong Delta provinces, said Nguyen Anh Viet, vice-chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Koi Fish Club.
“The show is the largest-ever with more than 140 fish tanks containing nearly 600 koi measuring 20-95 centimeters in length each," Viet said.
“We invited seven judges who are owners of the largest koi farms in Japan.”
The 2023 All Vietnam Koi Show will be also held in central Vietnam in September and the northern region at the end of this year.
