Huynh Tran Y Nhi, a 21-year-old beauty from the south-central province of Binh Dinh, was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023 after beating out 39 contestants in the pageant finale held in Quy Nhon City under Binh Dinh on Saturday evening.
She will represent Vietnam at the 2024 edition of the oldest-running global beauty contest Miss World.
With the height of 1.75 meters and body measurements of 79-59-89 centimeters, Nhi claimed the second runner-up title at a beauty contest for Binh Dinh students in 2023.

She is now a student of the International University under the Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City.
Dao Thi Hien from north-central Nghe An Province and Huynh Minh Kien from south-central Ninh Thuan Province claimed the first and second runner-up titles in the pageant’s finale, respectively.

Judges of the beauty contest included fashion designer Le Thanh Hoa, actress Van Trang, Miss World Vietnam 2019 Luong Thuy Linh, Miss Vietnam 2020 Do Thi Ha, and Miss Vietnam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy.
The judges picked the top 20, top 10, top five, and top three following ao dai (Vietnamese traditional costume), swimsuit, evening gown, and Q&A competitions.
Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska participated in the finale of Miss World Vietnam 2023 as an honored guest.
The final night of the beauty pageant, organized at the MerryLand Quy Nhon in Quy Nhon City, attracted more than 15,000 spectators.

Miss World Vietnam was first held in 2019 with Luong Thuy Linh from the northeastern province of Cao Bang named the winner.
The competition returned in 2022 after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the crown belonging to Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong from Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam.
