Popular online hotel service websitebooking.com recently revealed the top destinations for various tourist activities in Vietnam, compiled thanks to reviews and recommendations left by users on the platform.  

“Booking.com is sharing a list of rejuvenating activities alongside destinations most endorsed by Vietnamese travelers to inspire others to get away from it all and experience something different while on vacation in 2022, provided that it is safe to do so,” the website announced on Tuesday.

The list of the top destinations is separated into five categories, including beaches, nightlife, hiking, photography, and relaxation.

Vietnamese travelers’ top three endorsed destinations for beaches include the central cities of Da Nang and Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc – an island off the coast of the southern province of Kien Giang.

The southern city of Vung Tau and the central city of Quy Nhon rounded out the top five.

The most recommended destinations for nightlife in Vietnam were Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.

While Ho Chi Minh City is known for its interesting and charming bars hidden inside refurbished colonial buildings, Nha Trang is ideal for party-goers who want to visit beach-side sky bars with amazing views of the coastline.

Also ranking in the top five for nightlife in Vietnam were the central cities of Hoi An and Da Nang, as well as Hanoi in the north.

Each of these cities is known for vibrant nightlife scenes complemented by ancient backdrops.

For hiking, the northern tourist resort town of Sa Pa and the Central Highlands city of Da Lat are most loved by Vietnamese travelers.

With numerous trails ideal for everyone, from beginners and kids to advanced and seasoned hikers, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in the north-central province of Quang Binh is great for the whole family to bond amongst nature.

The two other places named in the category are northern Cat Ba Islands and central Hang Mua Viewpoint.

Those who find adrenaline-fueled hiking a great way to recharge will love the sweeping views of Cat Ba Islands, while people who want to see rich and diverse ecosystems can check out Ninh Binh Province’s Hang Mua Viewpoint.

When it comes to photography, Hoi An, Sa Pa, Da Lat, Ha Long, and Ninh Binh cannot be missed.

From iconic centuries-old houses and colorful villages surrounded by majestic mountains and rice terraces to world-famous UNESCO-recognized sites, these places are packed with fascinating historical architecture and cultural heritage sites that make them perfect spots for photographers and travelers alike.

To get the signature shot of cloudy waves at one's feet in Sa Pa or Da Lat, it is best to set up a campfire overnight and conveniently wake up to majestic and enchanting heaven-like views.

Last but not least, Da Lat and Da Nang come first and second as the most endorsed destinations for relaxation, with Vung Tau, Nha Trang, and Hoi An completing the top 5.
