The German Embassy in Hanoi and Hanoi-based Dai Viet Brewery Co on Friday reached a deal enabling the latter to produce a special kind of beer.
According to the Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) signed by the two parties, the beer will be available early next year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam and Germany diplomatic relations so that the special event will be promoted more widely in both countries, according to the German Embassy.
"I am delighted that next year Dai Viet will turn out the special beer for the anniversary. Germany and Vietnam are connecting with each other in many areas through close exchanges between the two countries," said Hans-Jörg Brunner, Deputy Ambassador cum Economic Counselor at the German Embassy.
Tran Van Sen, chairman of Huong Sen Group and Director General of Dai Viet Brewery Co, said that it is a great honor for the company to be chosen to produce the special beer in celebrations of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.
It also helps confirm the prestige and the capability of Dai Viet Brewery Co, in particular, and Vietnam’s brewery industry, in general, he added.
According to the MoU, Dai Viet Brewery Co is responsible for the production of the beer in the form of bottle or can. This one is a special edition of Dai Viet Beer with the Dai Viet brand and the official symbol of the anniversary.
The reasons for the German Embassy to pick Dai Viet Brewery Co to produce the beer is because its factory equipment were imported from Germany with the majority of brewing raw materials sourced from Germany.
In addition, the production process at Dai Viet Brewery Co is supervised by experienced German specialists in brewery to ensure the standards of Germany.
Moreover, the special beer is produced following the longstanding tradition of Germany’s Beer Law issued from 1516.
