Bruno Jaspaert, CEO of DEEPC Industrial Zones in Vietnam, has been appointed as chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham Vietnam).

He has been the CEO of DEEPC Industrial Zones in Vietnam for over six years and for the past four years, a member of the EuroCham Vietnam Advisory Board, according to a press release issued by the EuroCham on Monday.

His strong and long-lasting involvement with EuroCham Vietnam ensures continuity and stability, reinforcing the chamber's strong ties with Vietnamese authorities and other key stakeholders.

Jaspaert’s leadership is set to drive EuroCham’s advocacy, sustainability, and development initiatives in 2024, building on the chamber's strong foundations.

The Belgian businessman replaced Dominik Meichle, managing director of Bosch Vietnam, who stepped down as chairman to pursue an unanticipated yet promising new opportunity with Bosch in the United States.

During his tenure, Meichle demonstrated exemplary leadership and dedication, particularly as the co-chair of the organizing committee for the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2024.

He played a key role in advancing the EuroCham Vietnam agenda and led the EuroCham delegation this summer visiting the EU Commission in Brussels.

In addition to Meichle’s departure, board members Fanny Haniquaut and Anita H. Holgersen have also stepped down to take on new opportunities in Europe.

They have been succeeded by Bruno Jaspaert and Didier Martin, general manager of Pharma for Sanofi Vietnam.

Additionally, replacing Meichle as EuroCham board member, Alexander Götz, former chairman of the German Business Association (GBA) and general manager at Fischer ASIA, has joined the EuroCham board.

Founded in 1998, EuroCham Vietnam has established itself as the unified voice of the European business community in Vietnam.

It boasts a substantial membership base comprising over 1,400 companies, solidifying its position as one of the largest foreign chambers in Vietnam.
