The Omoda 5, manufactured by Chinese automaker Chery, was launched in Vietnam on Tuesday with two variants, Premium and Flagship, priced at VND589 million (US$23,170) and VND669 million ($26,340), respectively.
The price of the Omoda C5 is in the lower range compared to similar brands in the market, such as the Kia Seltos, priced between VND599 million ($23,611) and VND799 million ($31,471), and the Honda HR-V, fetching from VND699 million ($27,560) to VND871 million ($34,340).

The Omoda C5 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 145 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. It is also equipped with an advanced driver-assistance system which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive headlights. |
The Omoda C5 competes with its rivals in terms of warranty, offering customers a 10-year or one million-kilometer engine warranty and a seven-year or one million-kilometer comprehensive car warranty. |
