Saturday, May 20, 2017, 17:01 GMT+7

The U.S. Mission Vietnam has recently announced the 2018 competition for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program.

Fulbright FLTA Program is a nine-month, fully-funded, non-degree program for early career English teachers or professionals in related fields including American Studies, American/English Literature, and more.

Vietnamese participants have the opportunity to refine their teaching skills, increase their English language proficiency and extend their knowledge of the society and culture of the United States, the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi said in a press release on Friday

They can also be teaching assistants for their native language to U.S. students and strengthening foreign language instruction at U.S. colleges and universities.

The Fulbright Program in Vietnam will coordinate to nominate up to three primary and two alternate candidates from Vietnam.

It is anticipated that at least three awards will be made.

Only online applications with completed supporting documents submitted by 12:00 pm on August 10 will be considered.

The online application is available at: https://apply.embark.com/student/fulbright/flta.
