A mesmerizing dance performance called “Tiger Tiger Burning Bright” by French contemporary dance group Kubilaï Khan will take place in Hanoi on June 7.

The show, to take place at the Youth Theater, 11 Ngo Thi Nham street, at 8pm on June 7, will feature a polyphonic dance which accentuates body shapes and elegance.

Choreographed by Frank Frank Micheletti and featuring dancers such as Viktoria Andersson, Idio Chichava, Péter Juhasz, Ikue Nakagawa, Sara Tan and Csaba Varga, the show presents a profound perspective of the hasty urban life and raises questions about the position of our body, mind and desires in this society and its urban structure.

Tickets for the show, which is part of the activities to commemorate the 40 years of the diplomatic relation between France and Vietnam, are sold for VND100-120,000 (up to US$6).

The Kubilaï Khan dance group, founded 15 years ago, has performed more than 20 critically-acclaimed dances in France and over 40 other countries.
