“Dem he sau cuoi” (The last summer night), inspired by Agatha Christie’s classic detective novels and modern comic books, is set to run in Hanoi from tonight (Aug 12) to Aug 15.
The musical, directed by 21-year-old overseas student Nguyen Phi Phi Anh, who is studying in the US and came back to Vietnam during his summer vacation, will take place at 24 Trang Tien street, Hanoi at 7:45pm from Aug 12 to 15. There’ll also be a 3:30pm performance on Aug 15.
“Dem he sau cuoi”, which begins with the death of one member in a family and follows with the intertwinement of the others’ schemes and love, promises to appeal to audiences, particularly young ones.
The musical will feature Huong Thao, who won over Vietnam’s Got Talent 2012 show’s audiences and ended up in the Top 2 with her “mermaid” voice, as the narrator, along with several artists who took part in Anh’s last month remake of last year’s smash-hit musical “Goc pho danh vong” (The corner of fame).
All the tickets for the four evening performances were sold out within some days, with only a few seats left for the Aug 15 afternoon show.
