Vietnam beauty named 1st runner-up at Miss World Sport

23-year-old local beauty Pham Huong beat several other finalists and finished second at the 2014 Miss World Sport pageant, held for the first time as part of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, which wrapped up in Russia last night.

A university graduate, Huong possesses a 1m77 height and body measurements 85-60-88. The pageant, held by the Olympic Committee, is her first international contesting experience.

Bosnian beauty Delila Softic, 22, who is 1.8m tall and measures 88-58-90, was crowned the queen, with 21-year-old Belarusian beauty Marharyta Banet named 2nd runner-up.

The 2014 Miss World Sport attracted contestants from some 20 countries and territories, who competed in sport outfit, evening gown sections and showcased their skills in women’s favorite sports including aerobics and modern dance.

Contestants can be professional athletes or a member of their country’s Olympic team and should be good at one sport.

The jury, who are members of the Olympic Committee, picked three finalists who are most gorgeous, sporty and work well in teams. The three were trained and filmed at the Olympic Village during 10 days before they competed the last time at the Feb 23 finale.
