The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment says it has worked closely with state-run Vietnam Post’s stamp section to prepare for the launch of a stamp set which features climate change, impacts and solutions.

The assortment comprises four designs.

The first depicts a leaf with its veins divided into stylized areas which illustrate causes, manifestations and disastrous consequences of climate change.

The second design features hi-end gadgets including parabola antennae, satellites, airplanes and rescue boats, which is indicative of the role the media plays in improving public awareness of detrimental climate change.

The design also underlines the preparedness of the country’s political system to tackle the global issue.

The third design is suggestive of viable technological solutions, while the last one emphasizes Vietnam’s willingness and resolve to work with the rest of the world in combating climate change and mitigating its adverse impacts by actively engaging in a slew of activities, such as Earth Hour.
