A real estate developer from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pledged they will adopt international standards at a deluxe resort complex, whose construction is ongoing in a northern Vietnamese province.
During a working session on Wednesday with authorities in Quang Ninh Province, representatives of Nakheel Group, a UAE-based real estate developer, said they will make sure the Ha Long Star urban and tourism complex project has the most up-to-date standards currently seen in lavish hotels in Dubai, Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reported.
The complex is situated in Bai Chay Ward in Ha Long City, the capital of Quang Ninh Province.
The city is home to UNESCO-recognized Ha Long Bay, which has grown into a scenic spot much loved by international tourists.
The radio cited Nakheel Chairman Ali Rashid Ahmad Loohtah as saying that the 200-hectare urban tourism complex project, which has a total investment of US$550 million, will encompass a five-star hotel with 250 rooms, restaurants, a convention center, and a trade center.
The complex will also house 226 deluxe villas and 114 apartments, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
The Ha Long Star complex is expected to begin operation later this year, VOV said.
Though its groundbreaking ceremony was held in 2007, the project has seen delays due to the corporation’s financial difficulties, the news agency said.
Nakheel Group is one of the world’s leading real estate developers.
It is the investor of many top-notch estate projects in Dubai.
