Ngo Phuong Ly, the spouse of Vietnamese Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, attended a tea party hosted by Peng Liyuan, the wife of Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, in Beijing on Monday.
During the party, the two spouses also enjoyed China’s traditional art performances.
The party was part of Lam and his spouse's state visit to China from Sunday to Tuesday at the invitation of Xi and his spouse.
At the party, Ly expressed her pleasure at meeting Peng and conveyed the warm greetings of Ngo Thi Man, the spouse of Vietnam’s late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, to Professor Peng.

Professor Peng welcomed Ly to visit China, expressed her joy at meeting Ly, and sent warm greetings to Man.

Professor Peng recalled the memories and good impressions during her previous visits to Vietnam, and introduced typical Chinese arts and culture, while Ly shared her feelings about China’s culture.
