The Hanoi police recently indicted five men for shooting dead a masseuse who refused to serve them on July 1.

The five arrestees, namely Bui Van Dong, Pham Van Long, Pham Hong Quynh, Tran Ngoc Ban and Nguyen Cong Tru, were prosecuted by the Tu Liem district police for murder, illegal use of military weapons and concealing the suspects regarding the killing of a massage woman at a massage shop on Pham Van Dong street in Tu Liem district on July 1.

On the dawn of July 1, when Nguyen Thi Xuan, 38, and another massage girl were about to close the shop, five young men showed up on two motorbikes and insisted on having a massage.

Right after Xuan said that the shop had closed, one of the men came up to her, and without warning drew a gun out and shot at Xuan in her chest. The group immediately fled.

On July 2 and 3, the police arrested all these five men at their hiding places in neighboring provinces and escorted them back to Hanoi.

According to the police, Tru owns a massage shop in the area while Dong, Long, Quynh and Ban serve as pimps for Tru’s shop and provide loans and mortgages to prostitutes.
