A man died on Saturday night after being stabbed by a woman whose scooter collided with his at Dan Chu Traffic Circle in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.

Vo Thanh Quang, 24, was riding his scooter to Tan Binh District when he hit another ridden by two women in their 20s, causing the two vehicles to tumble.

Quang, coming from the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum, and the two women then brought their scooters to the roadside, in front of Le Loi Middle school, for a talk.

But then conflict erupted and one girl stabbed Quang in his body with the knife she carried along, while the two sides were quarreling about the collision.

The two girls then quickly fled the scene.

Quang was immediately hospitalized but he could not make it later.

The incident caused traffic congestion in the vicinity of the traffic circle.

District 3 police officers are coordinating with other units for a further investigation.
