Six suspects have been nabbed for reportedly murdering a company director in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa on February 5, police said on Sunday.
Nguyen Kim Huy, 27, and Nguyen The Tien, 24, the fifth and sixth suspects purportedly involved in the murder of Le Thanh Vu, director of an advertising company in Nha Trang City, the capital of Khanh Hoa, have turned themselves in, said Colonel Tran Huu Tuong, an official from the provincial Department of Police.
Four other people were nabbed by police officers on Wednesday, February 10, including Truong Minh Hung, 26, Nguyen Thanh Huy, 25, Tran Trong Khai, 17, and Nguyen Thi Hong, 24.
On the morning of February 5, Le Thanh Vu, 34, was driving in his personal automobile carrying three of his employees on To Hien Thanh Street in Nha Trang when he encountered the group of suspects.
Vu continuously honked his horn to alert the six as they, on four motorbikes, were blocking the street, said the employees in his vehicle.
A confrontation ensued as the bikers refused to let the car pass them, according to the witnesses.
The situation escalated when the suspects chased down the vehicle of the director and forced him to pull over on Ly Tu Trong Street, before proceeding to smash the car windows with their helmets and stabbing Vu in the chest with a knife, causing serious injuries.
Vu was quickly taken to the hospital but later succumbed to critical injuries.
Police arrived at the scene to investigate the alleged killing and found a blue helmet with blood on its surface and other relevant evidence.
The director was taking his employees to a karaoke parlor after attending the year-end party of their company, the witnesses said.
