— The Ministry of Health on Monday morning confirmed two new imported cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Vietnam. They are two Vietnamese citizens returning from Mexico and have been quarantined in the central province of Quang Nam since arrival.
— As of Monday morning, Vietnam has reported 331 COVID-19 cases, with 307 recoveries and no deaths.
— Vietnam has finished constructing 23 bridges using official development assistance (ODA) loans from Japan over the past eight months.
— A house fire on Lac Long Quan Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 11 on early Sunday morning killed one and injured three who are being treated at Cho Ray Hospital. Local authorities are investigating the cause.

— A recent survey by the Australian Chamber of Commerce (AustCham) showed Vietnam is now Australian firms’ most favorable place to expand their business, surpassing the Philippines and Myanmar in recent years as well as Australia’s long-term business partners, namely Malaysia and Singapore, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
— Vietnam had exported 415 million cloth face masks to dozens of countries around the world by the end of April this year, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

— More than 30 children from Hanoi recently had a trip to Don Village in northern Thanh Hoa Province’s Pu Luong Nature Reserve, where they joined 40 local children to make drawings of the reserve. The trip was part of a project to encourage children’s love for nature and traditional culture.

— Three sexagenarians in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday morning began their cycling journey of 6,000 kilometers across Vietnam to “explore the country’s map” and show support for Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper’s ‘An Tuong Viet Nam’ (Impressive Vietnam) program. The program is a response to the government-backed ‘Vietnamese People Travel Vietnam’ nationwide campaign meant to encourage Vietnamese citizens to travel domestically in the post-COVID-19 period.
