A truck carrying canned beer was stationed along a street when it slid down the slope and crashed into many motorbikes that were parked on the sidewalk in Vietnam’s Central Highlands on Saturday afternoon.

The accident occurred on Phu Dong Thien Vuong Street in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province at around 3:00 pm.

According to preliminary information and eyewitnesses, the driver and his assistant had just got out of the truck when the vehicle started descending the slope, leaving them no time to react.

The truck sped downhill, broke two utility poles, and hit nearly 15 motorbikes parked on the sidewalk before ending up on its side.

The crash site was just about 200 meters from the Da Lat University, but only one person was slightly injured.

Police officers have examined the scene, collected statements from the truck driver and his assistant, and tested them for possible drug and alcohol use to determine the cause of the accident.
