Police in Ho Chi Minh City arrested a man who caused the death of two people after kicking their motorbike in a road rage incident last week.

A source close to Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper confirmed on Sunday that the police unit in Binh Tan District had apprehended Nguyen Thanh Huy, 25, who hails from the Mekong Delta province of An Giang.

Preliminary information showed that Huy was riding his motorbike in Binh Tan District on Thursday night last week when he had a minor collision with 21-year-old N., who was carrying 13-year-old B. on a motorcycle.

Huy and N. had an argument before the latter left the scene.

The crash killed N. on the spot, while B. succumbed to serious injuries despite treatment at the hospital.

Huy left Ho Chi Minh City for his hometown in An Giang Province following the incident.

Police in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City later coordinated with their counterparts in Tan Chau Town, An Giang Province to arrest Huy.
