Police in Ho Chi Minh recently broke up a prostitution ring concealing their illegal operation in a hotel and massage parlor, making a profit of up to VND250 million (US$10,695) per month.
Four hostesses were caught red-handed offering sex services to their customers at Cuong Thanh III Hotel on Cao Thang Street, Ward 12, District 10, early on Sunday morning.
Hotel managers and service employees were aware that hostesses engaged in prostitution but they did nothing to prevent the prostitution, police said.
Each prostitute earned VND2.5-3 million (US$106-128) each time she provided a service and had to pay some of that amount to the general manager.

As per the preliminary statements of these suspects, the hotel had been operating since 2017 and mostly offered erotic massage for VND700,000 ($30) to VND2 million ($85), without counting tips for the hostesses.
There were different types of services the charges of which were based on cost.
To attract potential consumers, the suspects created many secret groups on social media platforms such as Zalo, Telegram, and Facebook, where they posted prostitution-related content, including numerous images and videos of sexy women, pricing, and massage services.
Thousands of people would visit these groups.
The business had more than 30 hostesses but it was constantly full, generating a massive profit for the owner, manager, and hostesses.
This business is controlled by Vu Ngoc Cuong, 54, from District 10, but he rarely visits it.
Instead, he hired Nguyen Van Hiep as the general manager, who oversaw all prostitution and erotic massage activities and reported back to Cuong.

A representative of Ho Chi Minh City’s Criminal Police Department said on Monday that police were still investigating the case to clarify the act of sex trafficking at this facility.
Initial estimates indicate that this establishment made VND150-250 million ($6,417-10,695) per month through prostitution.
Cuong and other suspects were taken to the police station for interrogation.
