Police in An Giang Province, located Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region, have arrested and initiated legal proceedings against a man hailing from north-central Thanh Hoa Province for the use of fake dentist certificates.
Vu Xuan Tu, 44, who is residing in An Giang’s Long Xuyen City, is being prosecuted for forging documents of competent agencies and organizations.
Investigation results showed that Tu bought two full-time university diplomas in dentomaxillofacial major bearing his full name in southern Binh Duong Province in 2008.
He used the two diplomas to register for a certificate of medical examination and treatment in odontology and dentures at the Department of Health of Thanh Hoa in 2014 and was successfully granted the document.

Tu then submitted the odontology and dentures certificate to the Department of Planning and Investment of An Giang in 2021 to apply for the establishment of a dental clinic in the Mekong Delta province.
He worked as the CEO of the clinic before the deceitful act was busted by an inspection team of the Department of Health of An Giang in May.
The case was then handed over to the provincial Department of Public Security for handling in accordance with their authority.
During the investigation, Tu admitted all his violations.
