Southern Vietnam’s Dong Nai Province plans to develop a new political-administrative center covering 44 hectares in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park in Bien Hoa City.
This plan was approved at the 11th session of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on Wednesday.
The Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park is being converted into a 44-ha trading service and urban zone.
Of the total area, administrative agencies will span 19 hectares, while the remainder will be designated as green and riverside areas.
The headquarters of Regional State Audit Office No. 13 is currently located in the park, while those of the Dong Nai Police Department are under construction.
The development of the new political-administrative center, backed by public capital, ensures that multiple administrative agencies are able to gather in one location.
The project is expected to create a more effective working environment and optimal conditions for local residents who need to visit government offices, as well as help bolster socioeconomic growth in the province.
The center will connect with National Highways 51 and 1, as well as the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien metro line in Ho Chi Minh City.
Relevant bodies are working toward preparing the plan in order to submit it for approval by higher authorities.
A plan to convert Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park into Bien Hoa trading service and urban zone is among the key projects of Dong Nai Province to reduce water pollution and protect the water resource of the Dong Nai River for more than 10 million residents in Dong Nai and neighboring Binh Duong Province and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Vietnamese prime minister gave the green light to the conversion of the industrial park into the urban zone in 2009.
In January 2021, the prime minister agreed to remove the industrial park from a master plan on the development of industrial parks in Vietnam.
