The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has required Greenlines DP Technology Co. Ltd. to stop exploiting the inland waterway port at the second quay of the Bach Dang Wharf in District 1.

The requirement was made after the municipal People’s Committee rejected the department’s proposal for the further exploitation of the quay.

Greenlines DP Technology Co. Ltd. must relocate facilities at the quay without compensation.

It is not allowed to dock water vehicles at the inland waterway port without the authorities’ permission.

The company is also responsible for fulfilling its financial obligations.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport had previously extended the exploitation of the second quay until March 31 after a license to use the quay expired on December 31 last year.

The department on March 27 proposed the municipal People’s Committee allow Greenlines DP Technology Co. Ltd. to continue exploiting the quay until the end of this year to serve express boat services from District 1 to Can Gio District of Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau City of neighboring Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

The reinforced concrete second quay at the Bach Dang Wharf is 80 meters long and nine meters wide.
