-- Vietnamese State President Vo Van Thuong hosted a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday for Queen Mathilde of Belgium, who is on a visit to Vietnam in her capacity as Honorary President of UNICEF Belgium.

-- Italian patrol vessel ITS Morosini, with a crew of 132 officers and sailors and commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Giovanni Monno, docked at a Ho Chi Minh City port on Tuesday, starting a four-day visit to the city in order to strengthen the friendly cooperation between the navies of Vietnam and Italy.


-- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed its Consular Department to contact the Philippine Embassy in Vietnam and ask for support for Vietnamese citizens among the over 1,000 forced laborers recently rescued in Pampanga Province of the archipelago nation.

-- A downpour that began on Tuesday afternoon and continued into the evening resulted in traffic congestion on certain roads within the inner part of Bien Hoa City in southern Dong Nai Province.

-- Fifty-five children were admitted to a hospital in north-central Nghe An Province on Tuesday evening on suspicion of food poisoning after eating yogurt at their kindergarten earlier on the day.


-- Bamboo Airways announced its plan to boost its charter capital to VND30 trillion (US$1.28 billion) at an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on Tuesday, with an aim of restructuring debts and increasing capital for its core and supporting businesses. 

-- Many Indian travel companies are seeking opportunities to bring tourists to Da Lat City and Lac Duong District in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

-- Industrial parks in southern Long An Province garnered $1.1 trillion in additional investment capital, which includes $418.25 million worth of foreign direct investment, between January and May 5, 2023.


-- The first Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF) kicked off in the namesake central Vietnamese city on Tuesday evening and will last until Saturday.


-- Although the Vietnamese women’s football team lost 1-2 to the Philippines in their final Group A match on Tuesday afternoon, they managed to maintain their top position in the group and have secured a spot in the semifinals of women's football at the ongoing 2023 Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
