As many as 10 metric tons of offal, pork breast, and beef of unknown origin have been detected in two shipping containers in Thu Duc City, under the jurisdiction of Ho Chi Minh City, confirmed a local police official.

The municipal police on environmental crime prevention and fight on Tuesday night raided a shipping container maintenance facility in Thu Duc’s Linh Xuan Ward, where these two containers were located.

Police officers seized the given volume of innards and meats with neither labels nor information about their origin and expiration date, said a representative of the municipal Public Security Department on Thursday.

They are working to track down and punish those individuals associated with the two shipping containers, the representative added.
