Three family members died after a fire swept through their house, which they used to sell electric bikes and motorbikes, in Hoai Duc District, Hanoi in the early hours of Wednesday, the municipal police informed.
The fire broke out at about 2:00 am at the 120-square-meter house, which includes a ground floor and a 30-square-meter mezzanine.
The house is equipped with a rolling door.
The deceased were T.D.Q., 38, his wife N.T.H., 33, and their seven-year-old son T.N.L..
Upon receiving reports of the fire, Hanoi police dispatched eight fire trucks and over 50 firefighters to the scene.
The firefighters put out the flames at about 3:00 am the same day.
The blaze burned down many electric bikes, motorbikes, and household appliances.
The incident is under further investigation.
