Police in Yen Bai Province, northern Vietnam said on Monday that they had cracked down on a large-scale drug trafficking ring.
Police officers seized 20 bricks of heroin weighing a total of 6.7 kilograms, and nearly 10 kilograms of synthetic drugs.
This was the largest-ever volume of illegal drugs to be confiscated in the province.
The officers detained two drug traffickers, including Sung A Tua, 29, and Sung A Co, 28, who live in Dien Bien Province in the northern region.

The two were caught red-handed transporting and trading illicit drugs in Nam Bung Commune under Van Chan District in Yen Bai Province on Wednesday last week.
Police are expanding the investigation into the ring.
