-- Nearly 60 households in an apartment building in Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi were evacuated to safer places on Saturday as several cracks appeared on the pillars on the ground floor.

-- Cold weather, paired with rain, is expected to hit the northern region of Vietnam on Sunday, with temperatures dropping to six degrees Celsius in many localities, while the central and southern regions might experience scorching heat, according to the national weather center.

-- Prolonged heat, strong winds, and drought are expected to pose high wildfire risks to more than 21,000 hectares of forest in Ca Mau Province, southern Vietnam.

-- A group of French farmers stormed into a major Paris farm fair on Saturday ahead of a planned visit by President Emmanuel Macron amid anger over costs, red tape and green regulations, reported Reuters.

-- Donald Trump easily defeated Nikki Haley in South Carolina's Republican contest on Saturday, Edison Research projected, extending his winning streak as he marches toward a third consecutive presidential nomination and a rematch with Democratic President Joe Biden, according to Reuters.
