Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company on Monday joined forces with the People's Committee of Nha Trang to plant trees along Ring Road 2 in the coastal city, located in Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam.

This activity showcases Imexpharm's commitment to social responsibility by collaborating with local authorities to preserve the environment and enhance the well-being of citizens.

The activity was attended by Truong Thi Thu Thao, deputy head of the Department of Theory, Politics, and Party History under the Information and Education Commission of the Khanh Hoa Party Committee; Pham Minh Tuan, deputy head of the Department of Mass Organizations and Associations under the People's Mobilization Commission of the Khanh Hoa Party Committee; Tran Anh Tuan, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union and secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Nguyen Van Minh, vice-chairman of the People's Committee of Nha Trang City; Nguyen Thi Minh Hien, deputy director of the City Public Service Management Board; other members of the leadership of Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa; and representatives from Imexpharm including the board of directors, staffers, sales team members, and marketing team members.

They joined Nha Trang officials in planting 500 trees along Ring Road 2 in the city and collected rubbish along the local beach.

This is part of the ‘Nurturing Green Seeds – Drawing the Future’ campaign launched by Nha Trang City in response to the national government's plan to plant one billion trees in 2021-2025.

During the opening ceremony at Thap Cham Square, Tran Anh Tuan, secretary of the Khanh Hoa Youth Union, mentioned that in recent years, hundreds of thousands of trees have been planted and nurtured by youth unions, union members, and young people.

These hands-on activities have played a significant role in raising awareness about forest protection, enhancing the green and clean living environment, and helping to alleviate some of the impacts of climate change.

“The Central Secretariat has designated 2024 as the 'Year of Volunteer Youth.' As part of this initiative, the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union has set a goal for Khanh Hoa to plant hundreds of new trees,” Tuan said.

“This effort aims to assist Nha Trang in becoming a green, clean, and beautiful coastal city.

“We are delighted and deeply appreciate the companionship of Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company in this meaningful endeavor."

Imexpharm general director, People's Doctor, and pharmacist Tran Thi Dao said, “With a focus on sustainable development and a commitment to making positive contributions to the community, Imexpharm has organized numerous environmental protection initiatives over the past 45 years.

“Collaborating with local governments nationwide, the company has aimed to improve the well-being of people and promote healthier lives.

“Today's tree planting event, titled 'Nurturing Green Seeds – Drawing the Future,' in Nha Trang aligns perfectly with this ongoing commitment.”
