Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company on Monday joined forces with the People's Committee of Nha Trang to plant trees along Ring Road 2 in the coastal city, located in Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam.
This activity showcases Imexpharm's commitment to social responsibility by collaborating with local authorities to preserve the environment and enhance the well-being of citizens.
The activity was attended by Truong Thi Thu Thao, deputy head of the Department of Theory, Politics, and Party History under the Information and Education Commission of the Khanh Hoa Party Committee; Pham Minh Tuan, deputy head of the Department of Mass Organizations and Associations under the People's Mobilization Commission of the Khanh Hoa Party Committee; Tran Anh Tuan, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union and secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Nguyen Van Minh, vice-chairman of the People's Committee of Nha Trang City; Nguyen Thi Minh Hien, deputy director of the City Public Service Management Board; other members of the leadership of Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa; and representatives from Imexpharm including the board of directors, staffers, sales team members, and marketing team members.
They joined Nha Trang officials in planting 500 trees along Ring Road 2 in the city and collected rubbish along the local beach.
This is part of the ‘Nurturing Green Seeds – Drawing the Future’ campaign launched by Nha Trang City in response to the national government's plan to plant one billion trees in 2021-2025.

During the opening ceremony at Thap Cham Square, Tran Anh Tuan, secretary of the Khanh Hoa Youth Union, mentioned that in recent years, hundreds of thousands of trees have been planted and nurtured by youth unions, union members, and young people.
These hands-on activities have played a significant role in raising awareness about forest protection, enhancing the green and clean living environment, and helping to alleviate some of the impacts of climate change.
“The Central Secretariat has designated 2024 as the 'Year of Volunteer Youth.' As part of this initiative, the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union has set a goal for Khanh Hoa to plant hundreds of new trees,” Tuan said.
“This effort aims to assist Nha Trang in becoming a green, clean, and beautiful coastal city.
“We are delighted and deeply appreciate the companionship of Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company in this meaningful endeavor."

In addition to its focus on environmental protection initiatives, Imexpharm also places a high priority on investing in community-oriented activities.
Since its establishment in 1977, the firm has organized campaigns to distribute medicine to impoverished individuals, provided scholarships to students facing financial difficulties, sponsored bridge construction programs, and supported various healthcare activities, particularly community health programs, in many localities across Vietnam.
In 2023, Imexpharm dedicated over VND1 billion (US$40,461) to community initiatives. This included sponsoring a program with Dong Thap Military - Civil Hospital to provide free medical check-ups and distribute medicine to veterans, individuals with outstanding service, families under preferential treatment policies, and people with disabilities in four rural communes of Thanh Binh District, Dong Thap Province, southern Vietnam.
Furthermore, Imexpharm partnered with the Study Promotion Association of Dong Thap Province to provide VND566 million ($22,901) for the ‘Commendation ceremony for students and teachers with excellent achievements in the school year 2022 - 2023.’
The company has also participated in campaigns like Spring Trees to provide support for underprivileged children to have a joyful Tet (Lunar New Year) celebration.
It has made donations to Tet programs benefiting the impoverished in Cao Lanh City, which is the capital of Dong Thap, and contributes to the social security program in the province’s Tam Nong District.
