The windows of nine cars parked on the sidewalks in front of an apartment complex in Ha Dong District, Hanoi were found smashed on Monday morning.

Local inhabitants near the CT8A and CT8B apartment building complex, located in the Van Quan urban area, reported the crime to the Ha Dong police agency at around 7:00 am the same day.

Findings from the police showed that vandals shattered the car windows in the wee hours of Monday in order to possibly steal assets inside.

All of the affected cars were parked on the sidewalks where authorized parking services are unavailable, said a police leader of Ha Dong.

Police are investigating the case of the smashed car windows.
