-- Due to the impact of a tropical depression and storm Prapiroon in the East Vietnam Sea, the southern province of Kien Giang experienced thunderstorms from last Thursday to Sunday, resulting in the collapse and unroofing of 10 houses, landslides, and the sinking of two local fishing boats. The estimated damage amounts to nearly VND500 million (US$19,743).

-- Heavy rain is expected in the southern and central regions on Monday evening while the north enjoys a sunny day before several days of rainy weather, as storm Prapiroon is moving toward the Gulf of Tonkin, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
