-- Vietnam’s Party General Secretary and State President To Lam received President of the Australian Senate Sue Lines and a high-ranking delegation of the Oceanic country’s parliament, who are on an official visit to Vietnam, in Hanoi on Tuesday.

-- Chinese Ambassador Xiong Bo was awarded the Friendship Order of the Vietnamese State for his active and effective contributions to promoting the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership during his term in Vietnam on Tuesday.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has called on businesses to operate a fixed-route passenger waterway service between the city’s Can Gio District and Go Cong Dong District in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee officially declared a measles outbreak citywide on Tuesday given a sharp rise in cases and three measles-related child deaths.

– Leaders of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Vietnam confirmed on Tuesday they are temporarily suspending enrollment for new courses at the Hanoi campus, though they remain licensed to operate at all campuses in Vietnam.

-- Authorities in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City announced that the Sky Garden trade and culinary street in Tan Phong Ward will officially open on the upcoming National Day (September 2) holiday and will host a week of cultural, sports, and culinary activities to make the district a top holiday destination for residents and tourists.

-- The first employees from a delegation of approximately 4,500 people from an Indian billionaire’s pharmaceutical company arrived in Hanoi on Tuesday afternoon ahead of their tour through three northern Vietnamese locales, including Hanoi, Ninh Binh Province, and Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh Province.

-- On Tuesday evening, the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) announced the updated schedule for the ASEAN Championship 2024, previously called the AFF Championship. The tournament will now run from December 8, 2024 to January 5, 2025, instead of its original dates from November 23 to December 21, 2024.
