-- Express boat services to Nam Du, an island off the coast of Kien Giang Province in southern Vietnam, have been suspended since Sunday owing to inclement weather conditions, leaving nearly 70 tourists stranded on the island, a local official said on Monday.

-- Fast-food chain McDonald’s Vietnam announced on Monday that it would close its store near Ben Thanh Market in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City from 2:00 am on Thursday after a decade of operation. The chain did not disclose the reason for the closure.
