-- Hanoi Children’s Hospital was opened on Wednesday, making it the first children’s hospital in the Vietnamese capital.

-- The Ministry of Transport is seeking input from other ministries and local authorities in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring Dong Nai Province on the prefeasibility report for the Thu Thiem–Long Thanh railway project, a nearly-42-kilometer line estimated to cost over US$3.4 billion.

-- A performance by Sweden’s Arrival, known as the world’s top ABBA tribute band, was canceled in Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam on Tuesday due to heavy rain damaging the sound equipment, according to a representative of the event organizer.

-- Hanoi overcame major cities like Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, and Tokyo to be recognized as Asia’s Best Culinary City Destination at the fifth World Culinary Awards held in the United Arab Emirates earlier this month.
