Authorities in Tay Ninh Province, southern Vietnam have repatriated 177 Vietnamese citizens who were involved in illegal labor and residency violations in Cambodia, the provincial Border Guard Command confirmed on Friday.
At 8:00 am on Thursday, Tay Ninh authorities received these 177 Vietnamese nationals, including 19 women and 158 men, from Cambodian authorities at the Moc Bai International Border Gate.
During the identity verification process, officers discovered that two of the returnees were wanted by Ho Chi Minh City authorities.
Vinh Bao Trong H., 26, was being sought by Thu Duc City police for engaging in sexual relations with a minor aged 13-16, while 25-year-old Nguyen Tan D. was wanted by District 3 police for theft.
Both were immediately handed over to Ho Chi Minh City authorities for further investigation.

Authorities also revealed that 129 of them had left Vietnam illegally while 176 individuals were found to be involved in various online scams, such as gambling, fake investment apps, and romance scams, operated by a fraudulent company located in the Cambodian province of Svay Rieng.
Only one person in the group worked as a delivery driver.
Tay Ninh authorities are investigating 30 individuals suspected of being involved in fraudulent activities and human trafficking.
