-- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged increased investment in transport, payment, and tourism connectivity with ASEAN during a dialogue in Hanoi on Tuesday with businesses from ASEAN member countries operating in Vietnam.

-- The People’s Procuracy of Ha Tinh Province said on Tuesday it had approved legal proceedings against three men who illegally loaded hundreds of animals, including 136 rare turtles, for transport from the north-central Vietnamese province to Hanoi.

-- Officials from Hoi An City in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam said on Tuesday it had begun cracking down on illegal logging and land encroachment in the popular Cam Thanh nipa palm forest.

-- The family of a 34-year-old man from Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, who was declared brain dead following a serious domestic accident, has decided to donate his organs to save the lives of five people in Ho Chi Minh City, Thua Thien-Hue Province, and Hanoi.

Business

-- A survey by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Business Association revealed that 37 percent of local businesses reported a lack of new orders, 38 percent faced rising input material prices, and 50 percent struggled with declining consumer demand. Additionally, 39 percent of businesses cited a lack of capital, while 20.7 percent had difficulty recruiting workers. 

-- Chubb Ltd. announced on Tuesday agreements to acquire Liberty Mutual Holding Co.’s businesses in Thailand and Vietnam in a deal that would help it boost its presence in Southeast Asia.

Lifestyle

-- Data released on Tuesday from accommodation search platform Agoda shows Da Nang became the most searched city by American tourists in January, surpassing Tokyo and Bangkok, with searches increasing by 1,538 percent compared to the same period in 2024.

-- The 2025 Danang Asian Film Festival will be held from June 29 to July 5 in Da Nang, with the theme 'Bridging Asia.'
