Vietnam’s digital technology enterprise map is expected to serve as a key tool for positioning businesses in the market, enhancing competitiveness, and expanding cooperation opportunities domestically and internationally.

On February 27, the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) held a press conference to announce the Top 10 Digital Technology Enterprises Program and introduce the Vietnam Digital Technology Enterprise Map 2025.

This marks the first time such a map has been launched, providing a strategic framework for identifying businesses in the market, strengthening their competitive edge, and broadening collaboration opportunities.

The launch of this map aligns with Resolution 57-NQ/TW, issued on December 22, 2024, by the Politburo.

It focuses on advancing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation and achieving Vietnam's ambitious goal as a leading innovation-driven nation in the region by 2035.

With increased investments in emerging technologies such as AI, big data, and blockchain, along with the promotion of green technology and supportive business policies under Resolution 57, Vietnam’s ICT industry is projected to experience sustained growth.

By 2025, the industry aims to achieve VND4.32 trillion (US$169.2 million) in revenue, contribute over 12 percent to the nation’s GDP, and increase the Vietnamese-added value within the industry from 32 percent to 50 percent by 2030.

VINASA intends to implement the Top 10 Digital Technology Enterprises Program alongside the continuous development and enhancement of the Vietnam Digital Technology Enterprise Map, making it a certification and validation platform.

This initiative will help businesses optimize growth opportunities by positioning themselves within the digital economy landscape.

In 2025, VINASA will introduce the VINASA Tech Map methodology, which will systematically map businesses within Vietnam’s digital technology sector.

Key activities will focus on positioning businesses within the technology ecosystem, enhancing their competitive advantages, and connecting enterprises with investment networks and innovation support funds.

The initiative will also facilitate trade promotion and assist companies in expanding into international markets.

The VINASA Tech Map applies an evaluation model based on two key criteria: vision that represents long-term strategic direction and execution capability that measures practical implementation effectiveness.

Based on these criteria, businesses are classified into four groups.

These include performance-driven companies with strong execution capabilities focused on practical efficiency, investing market leaders with long-term visions, specialized enterprises excelling in niche fields, and pioneering innovators who adopt new technologies while strengthening execution capabilities.

Through this classification, the map will provide a comprehensive dataset on Vietnam’s digital technology ecosystem, offering insights into sectors, business scales, innovation capacities, and future growth potential.
