A captivating international martial arts show featuring foreign fighters drew thousands of spectators to Quy Nhon City in Binh Dinh Province, south-central Vietnam, on Monday evening.

The event thrilled the audience, including many foreigners, with impressive performances and exciting matches.

Titled ‘Quintessence of International Martial Arts,’ the show aimed to showcase the image, people, and traditional martial arts of Binh Dinh to both domestic and international audiences.

It was part of the ‘Tourism, Cinema, and Sports – Pride of Vietnamese Identity’ program, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Binh Dinh administration.

Spectators were treated to a variety of martial arts displays, including traditional Vietnamese and Binh Dinh styles, as well as Khmer martial arts, wushu, pencak silat, Muay Thai, and kickboxing, performed by both Vietnamese and international fighters.

Among the highlights was a performance by Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat, a 35-year-old Vietnamese Muay Thai fighter and five-time WMF Muay Thai world champion, along with his two co-performers.

The show also featured intense matches between male and female fighters from Vietnam and other countries, including Italy and South Africa.

The crowd, particularly young spectators, enthusiastically cheered for the foreign fighters whenever they took the stage.

Tran Viet Nhan, a local attendee, noted that foreign fighters generally had an edge over their Vietnamese opponents due to their greater height and longer reach.

"Watching the matches live is far more enjoyable than on TV,” Nhan said. “Tonight's show was truly engaging, and everyone seemed very excited.”

Another spectator, Tran Van Vinh, praised the fighters for their efforts, noting that each martial art has its own unique characteristics.

"Traditional Binh Dinh martial arts, in particular, are well-suited to the physical attributes of Vietnamese people," Vinh commented.
