During the low-water season between May and July, masses of sargassum, a genus of large brown seaweed, that float near the water surface promise to dazzle visitors to Nhon Hai fishing village in Binh Dinh Province, south-central Vietnam.
The floating yellow-brown seaweed, the crystal-clear blue water, plus fishermen standing in basket boats and throwing nets to catch fish all make an absolutely stunning picture when viewed from above.
Nestled in Phuong Mai Peninsula, some 10km from the provincial city of Quy Nhon, Nhon Hai fishing village has welcomed a rising number of visitors over the past few years and become among their top beach getaways in the country, thanks to its peaceful, rustic beauty, and well-preserved fishing culture.
Travelers to Nhon Hai can not only immerse themselves in the crystal-clear water, hear the sound of gentle ocean waves lapping onto the white-sand beach, but they can also admire schools of small fish swimming over colorful coral reefs.
